About

I AM JAMES BERNARD KYNES, SR., an African American ordained Methodist minister (M.Div.) and a certified Pastoral Counselor and a state licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). I am also a Clinical Member and an Approved Supervisor with the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy and a Fellow with the American Association of Pastoral Counselors. I have been in practice since 1992. I am a husband of 43 years, father of four and grandfather of four.
WHAT I OFFER IS MYSELF. As human beings, I believe that we seek the understanding of and a sense of relief from our emotional, social, and spiritual, and relationship ambiguities and contradictions. I provide pastoral counseling and psychotherapy for individuals, couples, families and groups, by creating a safe place for you to experience relief from and understanding about the complexities around these various thoughts and feelings, so that a process for healing and growth from these complexities is experienced. The process is gradual. I provide these services regardless of one’s ethnicity, religion, gender, race, or sexual orientation. I adhere to a strict Code of Ethics based as established by my certifications, licensure, and ordination.
